Default Water Spray Question

Single 14gph nozzle, located before IAT, and a devil's own pump, tank with distilled water.

Spraying into a 383ci SBC that was not tuned for fluid injection, is this too much fluid to start with?

You aren't going to hurt it if it is. It will just bog the motor down and drown out spark. Give it a shot. Thats alot of nozzle for straight water IMO. Is it a progressive kit?

I would reccomend tuning with the water. Gonna be a complete shot in the dark if it works well with just adding the cooing affect water will give just as is with no change in tune.

Last I remember your setup, that is a good starting point (although a bit on the high side).

Why just water? Why not mix it with meth?

Negative, comes on at X psi and goes off under that. I will grab a smaller, ~7gph nozzle

Sounds like a lot of water to me. Obviously you can trim some flow down with the controller, but it's still a lot for 100% water.

I'd start with standard -20* windshield washer fluid. Progressive kit would help out alot with the initial "bog". You're always going to feel your activation point without it if you're spraying a decent amount of fluid at low boost levels.
