friends of mine had a great idea, buy a blown up c5

throw away expensive LS1 motor, install cheap 5.3 and turbo and profit, big time

my friend henry bought a 98 corvette, wiring nightmare with a blown motor, updated the wiring to the more comfortable 99+ pinout

then he and a friend at round 2 motorsports built a turbo kit around a vs racing denmah kit, with the billet 80 upgrade.

so, motor is a stock L33 longblock, tick performance turbo cam, valvesprings, stock ls1 intake installed on top. stock m6 trans, some weird *** clutch i cant even remember the name.

simple but beautiful air to air intercooled setup

80lb siemens deka injectors and 400lph in tank the sloppy staple fuel system

hptuners 3 bar speed density OS from a 2002 Z06 loaded up in there and we tweaked it up

10lbs 570whp
17lbs 708whp

this was PLENTY of power in a stickshift car on pumpgas so we will see how he adjusts to this and if he likes we can do methanol and crank 20ish out of it and see how far it goes
