Default Simple diy turbo log manifold advice

I am going to attempt to build a turbo manifold next week. Does anyone see a problem with flipping a passenger side manifold cutting off the flange and putting on a t4 flange with some 2.5" piping and then opening a the other end of the manifold for a crossover pipe? This is for my daily driver 5.3 c10. I am not a fabricator so trying to keep things simple. If anyone has done this before I would love to see some pictures. Also I am going to have someone put the wastegate on the exhaust housing sloppy style.

There are thousands of pictures of similar log builds, as well as youtube videos on how easy they are to make. It is not the "right" way to do it, but you can make plenty of power with minor fabrication skills. I have always been curious as to how much difference there really is between a log and a properly merged setup. I'm guessing the aesthetic difference far outweighs the actual performance difference.

Either your google skills suck, or you are thinking of some really weird **** A log is a bit too simple to be this much of a problem. The LS1 swap Mustang guys practically **** these things out after breakfast. The fact that ls based cast manifolds are steel instead of iron makes the welding easy.

I must suck at Google. Can anyone post a link to a log manifold built out of stock truck manifold?

Here is what you are looking for, but not sure of your skills or welding ability,
but if you can cut and have someone else weld you can do it
The KB log by itself was like ($ I don't know if I am allowed to say on this site)

Interesting to know. I was just basing my comment on a combination of things I had read and how much easier they seem to weld than any other cast iron I have seen. I hate to be responsible for spreading any misinformation.

Again, just search, it's been covered hundreds of times.

As for tips....just weld them. They're very easily welded and people have used pretty much all methods with success.

I welded mine with a 180amp Lincoln mig welder with no preheat and they welded great.
