Talking JY 5.3 Turbo SS Build! Jumping on the bandwagon!

So after nearly two years of being turboless i have major turbo fever and not to mention i blew up my stock ls1 a few months back, so what better time then now to try the 5.3 transplant turbo build
You may remember my turbo build thread a couple years ago, however this one involves a different motor so i may have questions along the way and others may to so i want to make another thread.

Car: 1999 Camaro SS M6
Goal: 600 rwhp capable of being tame enough to DD

Parts and plan so far:
Gen 4 Iron 5.3
Huron Speed AC retaining kit(ordered)
BMR turbo k member
241 heads(swapped a friend for my 853's so i can run LS9 gaskets)
LS7 lifters
LS2 timing chain
BTR Platinum dual springs
Isky 215/215 112 cam
60lb injectors
450lph walbro w/hotwire kit
ON3 7875 .96 Turbo(not set on this yet)
Custom HP Tuners Street Tune

ill post pics and changes as i go

this is what prompted the build

Looking good! Simple green non diluted in a spray bottle will do a great job of getting everything degreased!

Thats one of the differences, mine is an Iron 5.3 out of a '99 1500.

I have a Huron Speed V2 A/C Kit, Turbonetics 7575, using 241 Heads, and slightly different fuel system.

I would like for it to make 600-650. But, I have a 4L80E and a Moser M9 9" so both of those rob a lot of power. I also have dual 450 walbros, injector dynamics 1000cc injectors, -8feed/-6return, so i hope to run 16-17PSI and see where I'm at.

I feel like there is so much discrepancy in the 5.3 Turbo builds. I dont know what to expect!

sounds like a pretty solid build! mine is a M6 with a stock rear, hoping if anything goes, its the rear, much cheaper to replace!

Yea it seems like every 5.3 build is unique in itself.... im hoping for 600whp with less then 15psi and without revving it to the moon.... guess we'll see what happens

Do you have the stock 5.3 injectors? If you decapped them would they work for you?

How much weight does the k member drop? Are you keeping the power steering and brakes?
