Was there ever a verdict as to why Fairmont 5 didn't make power as expected? Did the new owner find anything? Just wondering.

IIRC it went to the new owner with a 6.0 and Denmah's buddy used the aluminum 5.3 having the same low power issues and finally scattered it.

Jimmy (Click Fifth on Youtube). Has posted a few videos with it since he bought it from Denmah. Looks like he mini tubed it and did a few other things. I know he hurt the motor (6.0) and put "new" stock rods and pistons in it with the TBSS intake. He took it to Denmah's track rental last year and put it on the dyno. Fairmont 5 was a very difficult one to keep up with because of all the parts swapping after the chopped pan and hv pump killed everything.

didnt he go back and degree the cam in that one? i know he did in one of them.

I believe he "checked cam timing" but not actually degreed it.
