7665 or 7675 Turbo for my build?

I remember recently reading a thread about the 7665 turbo and the general consensus was that it's the most stupid turbo ever made. Horrible combination of compressor/turbine. The 7675 is very close to my borg 475 and it spools quickly. And that's with a 1.25 AR housing. I'd go 7675 out of the two you mentioned.

I can agree that the combination seems a little off, but I still think it works in a street setup. I'm not doing the roll racing, I want something that has a little lag as possible and I'm willing to give up some top end for it. I wanna be able to hit it at 20mph or less and come on very hard on an awd car with no footbraking. While I do keep looking at the 7875, I think it might take a tad longer. If your 7875 comes on that quick, please lemme know...thanks.

modchevelle - from what i am reading stalled autos and a 6 speed will be very different in regards to turbo spool. Do you have any experience with this?
Are your chevellesd 6 speed manuals or autos?

Ptc converter th400 auto on my car and a Protorque Converter on my sons th400. I dont see why you are worried about spool time so much..Do you have that much traction for super quick spool time?

I did some more research for 5.3s with a street setup
it seems like a lot of people that have the 7665 love it within a tight window...low boost (under 12psi) zero lag, very streetable and fun in that manner. However when you turn up the boost and try to make it everything you want (bottom and top end) it just doesn't have the same characteristics....gives up on top end, etc.
When comparing the 7875/7675 to the 7665 in high boost, there really is no camparo...78 all the way. So roll racing, 1/4mile.
