what spring?

Should take anywhere from 16-22 inches of pure vacuum to open.

Cut springs can open anywhere from 8-14 inches.

The spring color will indicate the "target" vacuum opening. If it is cut it will obviously change. Post the color and someone should be able to ID it.
A vacuum pump is ideal for testing, use it if ya got it!
