tuning GWP stage 2
Ok as I have pointed out B4 I am new to this and I am looking for tips and tricks on tuning in a GWP stage 2 set up. I am only looking for 400 ponies. I know you guys have lots of little things that can make the tuning/install (2002 Z28) go nice and smooth. So let me have it links emails all of it.
Thanks in advance again...

Re: tuning GWP stage 2
What tools are you using for tuning?
LS1-Edit? Autotap? Mail Order Tune? Willingness to use the dyno? etc.
You do have a few people here who can help you with some advice, so this is a good place to ask.

Well, if GWP is giving you a Stage II, you must have some arrangement for the tuning, right? Are you sending them the ECM or are they sending one out to you with a program for your configuration?
If so, it shouldn't be critical for you to get LS1-Edit (helps you re-tune data in the ECM, $550.00). But, I would get Autotap (monitors ECM functions, $250.00) or some other scanner to help you periodically check the performance of your vehicle.
Make SURE you get a Fuel Pressure Guage and a Boost Guage!

NUTBUTTER, THere is a shop CARTEK, in jersey that does ls1 edit. They built my blower motor and did my d1sc and tuned it with edit. Julio and dave know there stuff. Call them at 908-654-9993 and tell them Scott with the blown white ws6 sent you. It is totally worth it. Julio is one of the best tuners in the country. I drive from CT down there to get my work done.

Re: tuning GWP stage 2
That's GREAT!
Jason at GWP could create your tune, email it to you and you could do the shop Scott recommended to put in this initial tune.
They could fine-tune it even better for your car right there on the dyno. So much for 400 RWHP... I think you'd be looking a quite a bit more.

I don't where in New Jersey this shop is, but Newark is only about 6 hours from Buffalo.
Now Buffalo to GWP in Colorado would be a couple days.

Re: tuning GWP stage 2
GWP does't have anything for tuning a 2002 LS1 blower car. Jason BSed me and my local shop for weeks about getting tuning. I got my D1SC "Tuner Kit" from ATI w/no programing. After Jason did not come through and BSed us for weeks we went strait to superchips.(were jason gets his tuning from) They told us strait up that they did not have tuning for 02 LS1 cars yet. To make a 6 month story short. We got a very very rough program from superchips and loaded it up and ran it on the dyno. We sent dyno info back and forth with superchips and they emailed programs back and forth that we loaded in to the programer and then in to the car. 2 solid days on the dyno and alot of emails ,phone calls ,and programs later superchips and I came up with a program for 2002 LS1 cars. So if the have one you can THANK ME.
