Default oil drain to oil level sensor hole?

Didn't find anything difinative on this by searching. Is this a bad idea? I assume that the sensor is for when the oil level is low, i.e. the level should be at or above this hole which would make it a less than optimal place for a turbo oil drain. Just wanted to check before I go carving a hole in my brand new pan. This is going to be for a 6.0L w/ an f-body pan in a 72 chevelle w/ a GT42 turbo.

Max

Btw, how many quarts of oil for the f-body pan?

it needs to be above that hole.
the return needs to set above the oil level, so the highest place on the pan would be the best. you will need to tap a return hole

Yes, above that hole. It must gravity feed back back in above the oil line. Ive heard of people doing other ways, but not to safe IMO..
