Default opinion on ls1 powerdyne 6psi system??

im very close to purchasing a used powerdyne system for a good price, im just wondering what you guys think of it, as far as the bang for your buck. and if anybody knows the main problems with them. im not planning on building a full out drag car, i know procharger and vortech are one of the best, but all im looking for is mid 12 to low 12s and ill be happy with that, thanx.

Just put a cam in and do the bolt ons and go 12's more reliably. For less $$$, and less headaches with the internal belt issues of the powerdyne.

ill let you know in a day if our headaches go away or not.. we are doing a little bit different setup that a generic powerdyne. for what our guy wants, and pushing the minimal boost it looks to be what he's looking for. we are really only have small issue at the moment with cooling

The internal belt commonly breaks on the Powerdynes. I wouldn't buy a used one unless you get some sort of warranty. Bob

What about with the Kevlar belt upgrade? Is there still the breakage with just running 6psi.

It probably wouldn't break on the street, but once you start hooking at the track the belts start dropping like flies.

I would only get the kit if it came with the Spal fans, you don't plan on running at the track, and you don't mind changing your main engine accessory belt every month or so because of slippage. I thought my kit was a lot of fun on the street, for what it cost.
