How much boost on a LS6?

Im planning on strapping the GMR Single kit to the LS6 in my bird and wondered if anyone has experience with safe boost levels and could throw some numbers at me.

I've been told keep it under 8psi on a stock bottom, and they can handle up to 550-580rwhp for a bit!

8 to 9 psi and run it fat, at approx 11.0 to 11.5/1. Bob
