Default Blow off Valve slightly open at idle?

I just took some of the washers out of my blow off because the valve wouldn't open all the way due to coil bind. NOw that I've removed them the valvel is slightly open at idle. It feels like it is drawing in just a little bit of air, but it is unfiltered and this is a street car. Should I put a restricter in the vacuum line? or should I get a heavier spring? How are all or yours set up? thanks in advance

A bigger problem with the leak will be bleeding off boost.
If you BOV is between your MAF and engine, it will run rich until boost then it will run lean.
Coil bind? I would return it, sounds like a faulty unit...
