Default Help rate cam specs of 218/228 564-577-116 for D1SC BLown forged LS6!

Futral cam: 218/228 564-577-116 lsa. I think this would make a pretty good blower cam for my future forged LS6 shortblock putting out between 12 and 14 lbs of boost but not certain.

How much power, if any, do you think this would make over my stock 02 LS6 cam?

Also, do you think brand new comp 918 springs are up for the task of handling this cam?

Thanks F/I Crew!!

I think your IVC is too high for a blown stock displacement motor. It'll peak quite high and require a 7000ish rpm shiftpoint. (I am assuming 116ICL as you didnt state what advance (if any) was ground into the cam.

I would look at something like this for your combo:

Intake Duration - ID 222
Exhaust Duration - ED 228
Lobe Center Angle - LCA (also known as LSA) 114
Intake Centerline - ICL 112

Intake Valve opens - IVO -1
Intake Valve closes - IVC 43
Exhaust Valve Opens - EVO 50
Exhaust Valve Closes - EVC -2
Exhaust Centerline - ECL 116
Overlap -3

I personally like XE or XE-R lobes. I would run a dual spring (921 or PRC double)

I would just say you need more spring.
