Default DCR, 92 octane, F-1 or YSi trim , and me...

Looking at going F-1 or Ysi trim setup now with my 377 (4.07" bore and 3.622" stroke). l know a lot of turbo guys scream in here about low SCR, but after a lot of researc I am to understand that Superchargers like a little more SCR than turbos (9.5:1 SCR or so).

My question is although I am looking at a SCR of around 9.6:1 where does my DCR need to be to get away with running 15 lbs max? I would think 7.5:1 DCR would be about perfect for 14 lbs (what I plan on running). I'm just trying to get an idea of what valve events I need to get my cam ground. I would like to shift around 7000 so nothing insanely big.

I am hoping to make around 800 rwhp with probaly 75 or 100 shot for insurance in the future. Hoping for around 9.40's or so at 145+ and then maybe 9.10's at 148-150 once the 400 goes in.

Any suggestions from EXPERIENCED centrifugal guys in here are very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Nate

I would never advocate 9.5:1 unless you were going to run low boost on a very built engine.

One way to look at things is that 15 lbs of boost will double your engine hp.
