Default boosted car over heating

alright we finally got the car going, mods 6.0 heads log manifold T70 turbo and bolt ons..everything runs drives and the tune is good enough to daily drive it. but i put a 160 thermastat in it and it runs cool around 190 when its just sitting but once we start driving it, it gos up to 230 after like 15 mins...i even changed it to the stock one and still ran hot. im thinking there bad thermostat or i dont have ht e front air dam on there would that keep cooler air getting to the radiator? of course its always somthin too

Will it overheat just idling?

Sounds like a tuning issue if it's over heating while driving.

A missing air dam will definitely cause it to overheat.

How are you getting air to the radiator?

If the car comes back down in temp once you stop driving, I'd say it's an air dam thing. Stick it back on and you're done.

If it stays hot, though... let us know your cooling setup. AC still on the car? Fans? Pushing or pulling?

My car gets hot pretty quick too...fabbed up an air dam and it helped a little but I think I'll go to the electric waterpump cuz I just think it's not flowing enough water at idle with the stock pump.
