Default which would be easier...

Ive been thinking about what im going to do next. Im thining between heads a bigger cam and 90/90, or a sts turbo kit with a t67 turbo. i was just wondering which would be easier on the engine and transmission. I would swap out my heads for some head that lower the compression. i was thinking the turbo would be easier since i wouldnt have to rev my engine as high as i would with heads/cam.

I can get the whole turbo kit with the upgraded turbo for $2900 so i figured it would cost the same to do the turbo as it would the h/c/i setup and my drivability and gas would be better with the turbo.

Also, how much boost do people run with a turbo kit with heads that lower the compression (truck heads? im not real sure) with out an intercooler or alky injection.

What is the average install price of a sts system. i was getting prices from 700 on up. that to me sounds kinda high.

What is a good converter size to use with a turbo...right now i have a 3400 but i was thinking something more in the range of 2500 or so. Thanks alot!

Converter won't matter as much, as long as it brings it up in the "power range" and loads the turbo, you're golden. Turbo cars really don't give a ... about that kinda crap. No intercooler OR alcohol? Getting you down to about 9.5-9.6:1 with 317 heads (6.0l) you should be able to run 7-8psi depending on IAT temps. I would go alcohol injection or FMIC if you plan to keep the car for a long time, you won't stop at 8psi, I guarantee you!
