Will a small cam increase your IAT on a turbo setup?
Having a small cam (compared to a large cam) on a turbo setup will give you more backpressure under boost. As it’s been said before, a more restrictive system has to run a higher boost than a less restrictive system to make the same HP numbers. So will running a smaller cam (more restrictive) build enough backpressure to give you significantly higher IATs compared to a large cam turbo setup making the same power?

It's more of a question to decide whether or not I want a bigger cam... right now I have a 99 Fbody cam in my 8.5:1 HPE shortblock... I was considering changing it before putting on the oil pump, front cover, etc. Not sure if that Fbody cam is going to seriously limit my setup or what.

in theory maybe. but i think ur overthinking the whole situation. and if a any cam causes your IAT to rise or fall, (which i never really looked into), to the point where it would become an issue, then your method of cooling (fmic, meth...) is not adequate.
