Comp 918's or stock springs?
A while back I traded some stuff for what was supposed to be Comp 918 springs with low mileage. When I recieved them I noticed there wasn't a blue stripe but thought maybe it had worn off. Well I just recieved my 317 heads yesterday off an 05' Silverado and noticed that the springs looked almost identical. If you look at the pics they look slightly different but when you look at them in person they look exactly the same. One exception I noticed is that the supposed Comp 918's seem to have a slightly ovaled shape to the coils while the others look more rounded. Do these look like 918's to you? Is there anyway to find out what springs I do have?

Yea they resemble stock ones, beehive shaped. Find someone with a spring pressure tester. Machine shop, engine shop? Test them and see if they are good and what the specs are on them. Then compare them to the specs comp gives you on their 918s. regardless if your using used springs you should test them.
And in the performance world....mileage means NOTHING. 1000 miles could be 2000 1/4 mile passes (and return road). 1000 miles is low right? see my point? Mileage is for dealerships and warrantys.

I've seen 918's and stockers/Zo6 springs and studied them.
Judging from every spec of detail I could muster in those photos... I'm willing to bet $20 that those are 918's.
Look at them yourself. The 918 are slightly thicker than the Zo6's and they have a different shape. Other than that they are identical. It's easy to get worried.
If I saw them in person I could tell you 100% what they were. I love 'em, I run them now. Always will. I'll never need a cam bigger than .600
