I wrapped my exhaust from the collectors all the way to the turbo. Took little over two rolls of header wrap but well worth it. Used to never build boost in first gear till i wrapped the exhaust.

I kept my LT's (DynaTech's.....ceramic coated). Basically too lazy to remove them It doesn't really seem to hurt performance. Wrapping the exhaust from the collector back is a better way to retain heat than going back to the stock manifolds......just my $0.02.
