Default 88mm turbo guys, mounting question

this is a heavy bitch! lol

any pics of where you've mounted the unit other then where the battery goes?

i've already examined NastyTA's pics from his build.

i had planned on using ohioforced inductions kit, but am not sure if there's going to be enough room or support.

Hey there should be, Joel at forced inductions has stated that they fit a 88mm unit in his kit. In fact I ordered the kit based on that fact, although I had to get the S-85 as the 88's were back ordered. They are the same size though. Im about a week away from getting my kit so I havent installed it yet, but theres plenty of posts and pictures around that show where the Turbo mounts with his kit. If you would like I can post some for ya?

Because of using short thick walled piping I didnt not brace the turbo. I did measure the difference between the water pump pulley, and it has not changed over time. The filter, however was changed to a nicer looking one.

yeah if you could that' be great. I'm also concerned about the DP. i'm sure it'll need to be 5in stepped to a 4in.

depending on what 88, it may start out only as 4in.

so i guess he is going to be running a super slim cooling fan unit? i have nothing but respect for you guys. Single T88 is so nasty you will be easily over 700rwhp with 10psi. Makes me want to pick up a FFHP single turbo kit for my 403.

try doing a search for Pro Stock John and his turbo kit in this forum, it was done by speed inc and uses that same turbo with a truck kit.

without a support system, the tubing will fatigue, especially at the welds. You can then join the DOTTC..
BTDT, and have a totalled header to prove it. [And, this was not a BIG turbo.]

I guess I should have stated that I change stuff too much for it to matter, the motor and turbo are already in another car with a kit that is braced.
