Words from the wise. If you dont have paperwork, it wasnt done.

If someone was going to rebuild a motor just for a supercharger install, they would:
1) Build all forged
2) lower compression for MORE boost
3) change cam to a FI oriented grind
4) Make more than 400rwhp

What im getting at is this. Why spend all that money for only 400rwhp, could have done it far cheaper with a N20 shot and bolt-ons.

I call BS and bad deal.

possible, reason im interested in the trade is that I want to get some money which i was offered, because i need to pay off bills first or sell the car I currently own, this option allows me to still keep an Fbody and pay off half of my bills at once.

just a though how much in parts are we talking to forge an LT1?

If you need the money I wouldnt buy a forced inducted used car. When things go wrong its expensive no matter the platform.

A built VRE 355 shortblock is about $3200

It isn't significantly cheaper to forge an LT1. I'd be weary with that deal -- I'll have to agree. Someone who puts a rebuilt motor and a blower on is usually running more than 6psi. And usually they've got their paperwork too.

Unless this guy has a serious reason for getting rid of car, perhaps it has its own fair share of gremlins that he's either tired of taking care of or can't figure out.

There is no way 42# injectors will support 16lbs.

I just about have mine maxed out at 7.5lbs, I am spraying meth on top of them to help out.
