Default STS Turbo question

I have a question about the turbos used in the STS system. I would like to buy a Garrett turbo off of ebay with similar A/R values as the values of the turbo in the system (.81). I was wondering if I could piece together a similar system as the STS by using parts that are listed on the product list on the STS website. The system will be going on a stock 2000 SS with a M6.

I bought an ebay turbo for fitting tests. I made a custom rear mount set up. I then actually used the turbo for a few months. (short on money to buy a better one) It worked fine never blew up and who ever bought it off me when i re-sold it on ebay should be happy. I had like 5000 miles on it, minimal shaft play. I had a 60-1 with a .81 ar and it spooled like a ****. 7psi by 2900-3100 rpm in 2nd. My new MP t-70 hits 7psi at 3700 rpm in second, also a .81 ar.

I have the Exhaust side of the STS kit (the pipe that you weld to the exhaust w/ turbo flange and waste gate flange) that I would let go to you if you want... then you would just have to fab the cold side.
