Default Supercharger DIY?

I have been searching on here for the answers to a few simple questions about supercharging. I have a 98 ws6 with ported ls6 heads, cam, intake basically, so am I able to run a supercharger with that setup. I am looking at something around say 5 lbs. I am fairly good at custom piping, so if I could get a head unit what would I be looking for and what is really necessary to make a basic supercharger. Does it go from the air filter to the unit to the tb? I am just looking for a bit more power but i would rather not have to change my head and cam setup. Any help would be greatly appreciated or if you could send me in the direction of someone with advice. Thanks

Yeah I know spray it, since I have half the kit on it already. I would like to explore the supercharger option. Would I have to have a CCW rotation head unit?

You should be fine with a supercharger running up to 7psi on the stock bottom end. As far as installation, I am no do-it-yourselfer, I relied on The Vette Doctors in Amityville, NY.
