Tires for Higher HP FI cars... ? ?
If you daily driver your FI car, I need some ideas on what to get, the 305/30/19 PS2's are TOAST, I realize that I might have to go down to an 18 to get a drag radial or something like that, need some input!
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

I'm using MT ET street 26x11.5x16" with bias-ply tires up front. Traction isn't an issue with 700hp. These are dry weather tires only though, I wouldn't even think about trying to drive them in any kind of rain.

MM, dude, i don't think i would ever drive in the rain with the MT's. Good tire for hooking with all that solid rubber but in the rain, that non-split rubber wont cut through water and make pockets between the tire and cause sliding.
However, if you have good experience with them in the rain, let me know... im in hte market for some better tires than the nitto's i run.

Ive had Nitto's, BFG's, and MT Drag Radials. Nitto's were good in the Rain but they wouldnt hook to great. BFG's were next and they did pretty good in rain as well, but wouldnt hold a hook at the track. Now my MT's I Love, but DO NOT drive in the rain with them.
By far the MT's hook the best but are the absolute worse in rain.
As far as fitting a 315/35/17 under your car, YES it will work (the BFG's I mensioned above were the same size). No Beating/Grinding Required.

Hey, the MT's are finally out?!?!?
MM, can you comment on the actual width of the MT 315/35/17 vs the BFG DR 315/35/17? I went from 315/35/17 Nitto's to the BFG's and a hammer was needed. And how about the tread depth? The brand new BFG's looked about the same as the worn Nitto's they replaced! Very shallow...

I am pissed because the Nitto555's I run have no traction and there isn't a tire in the 20 inch sizes as far as DR's go. So it sucks because I want to run my 19/20 combo in the summer and would run DR's in the back if I could.
