Default My poor stock replacement head gaskets

I put this in the LT! section, but figured it could go here 2.


this is what happens to the gaskets on 12psi. with a gt42 and 10:7.1 compression.







I now have some cometics and ARP bolts to put back on the car.

It was the gaskets fault, it was your tune, gas, and plugs.

You might me a percent or two away from a perfect tune.

I thought it was just a weak gasket, but you guys seam to think its my tune. If it is my tune what do you think I should do to get it better?

More octane or less advance? Go to a good ahop that knows these cars and have a good dyno tune session with them.

If it was octane or timing and not just to much cylinder pressure, I should have damage to the head or piston, correct?


If needed I can get some pics of the pistons or heads, I have not had the time to put it together.
