what stall do you turbo people run?
I have my tranny out going through it. My 4000 stall hits hard and works good, i was just wondering if im losing anything with that high?
I heard before with boost you dont need much stall? is there any difference?
would I spool up faster and gain some good power in the lower areas if i went smaller? 3500? 3000?
its a 5.3L 224/224 cammed, ported heads, 15psi boost in a 4-link chassis car.
What do the turbo cars here run for a stall? list aprox HP and ET.
Has anyone swapped converters and have any results to post?
Thanks.

I'm still running my 9" TCT converter that I got for my old blower setup. If I can get time to make passes I will start evaluating whether the converter is too big for my combo.

I'm on my 3rd converter. The first was a run-of-the-mill Vigilante 0 pump. It was flashing to 5000 under full boost, so I thought it was too high. Slip was around 18%. I had it re-stalled to a "turbo converter". It came back way, way, way too loose, like 30% slip. I sent it back again and it came back a 10.5" and I like it. Now, it flashes to about 3000 on motor and about 4200 on boost. Slip is around 10%.
I would say my performance gain from the first to the last converter was there, but not as dramatic as I've heard about in other cars.
