Default Idler pulley question?

Is the idler pulley that comes with the f-body setup supposed to spin freely? My d-1 pulley came loose and threw my belt off and jumped on the end of the pulley. The pulley does turn, but it won't spin continuously if I flick it with my hand. Sorry for the dumb question I’m just a little paranoid. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

If the idler pulley does not spin freely (keeps spinning after you manually spin it) then it needs to be replaced. If an idler locked up, it would throw the belt for sure.

If the pulley is still in good shape you can just replace the inner bearings, there are 2 stacked on top of each other. Held in place by the snap ring. I have the part # some where hit me with a pm if you need it.
