Need some help on a NASTY project
Hey everyone,
I have a 2005 GMC Sierra 1500. I am thinking of a new project i would appreciate some help from your experience here.
What i have on my truck right now is:
AFR Heads 205cc Mongoose
Comp Cams Camshaft
Magnacharger with a pulley of 2.8" (12psi)
Dynatech Long-tubes
Corsa-Catback
Thats it for the engine,
I am thinking or actually considering what will be the difference between a twin-turbo kit or a ATI Procharger kit for it.
The twin turbo kit will be what i think the Garret GT35R and,
the procharger i am thinking of F1 Supercharger to handle what i want.
What things do i need to change in my engine and drivetrain to get the most out of it.
Recommendations from people around me were;
- 383 Iron Short-Block with comperssion ratios from 8.7:1 - 9.1:1
- 4L80-E transmission to support my application
- Strange S60 rear end
- 60Ib Injectors
What i have in mind is reaching 800-1100 rwhp. Thats my target.
So can you give me your recommendations please

I would do a 408ci,4L80 tranny with 3000stall,carb intake,single S-85mm Turbo.
I did a 1500 Truck last year and it's awesome.Drive like stock,quiet off boost -sounds like a jet in boost and is reliable. Here is a quick pic.
