Default Best rings for FI build?

What do you think are the best piston rings for a forced induction build?

Depends on how much boost you are planning to run, Lots of Boost, Dam good pistons, Low to moderate boost, good forged pistons..

I've had good luck with Total Seal rings in boosted applications. I'm not saying they are the best though.

I'm building my LT1 shortblock right now and posed much the same question to Eric at Victory. I told him I wanted Diamond pistons and Hellfire rings for them. He countered with the Total Seal AP series, saying the Hellfire were overkill for a street/strip application like mine where my T76 would be boosting only 14-17 PSI and the Total Seal AP were less expensive as well. Just pay attention to the ring gaps for the boost. Too loose and you have excessive blowby. Too tight and you risk the ring ends butting together at high temps and grabbing the cylinder walls, tearing off the piston ring lands. This happened to me with my prior motor using too much N2O. Not enough ring gap for the cylinder pressure/temps. Piston #8 had the top ring land torn off.
