Default Ati Balancer Q"s

I bought a d1sc 8rib kit. I was told that I have to buy the ati balancer, Im confused as to what part # I need to buy, I called ati and they said I need part # 917345A, I look and EPP website and they list a different part #. Im just confused as to what balancer I need.

Well EPP is probalby listing one with 10% underdrive and they are probably recomending an OEM diameter pulley etc... You just need the 916031 steel hub with which ever shell you want either stock diameter or 10% under drive with or with out A/C, if you are going to be over 700hp go for the stock diameter IMO as it has more dampning ability. Ok so your saying I can get any ati balancer for an ls1 and it will work with the 8rib kit.

They all have the Three bolts that attach the blower drive pulley so basicly yes LOL! Just make sure it has a STEEL Hub cause the aluminum will not be good for this type of service.

Oh by the way did I mention I was selling one with 10% underdrive and two keyways 180* out.
