Default T66 F1 Trim?

I am running a 60-1 P-Trim with S Compressor housing and .68 T4 housing in a truck on a stock 5.3L. Boost on the graph below was about 9PSI... tuned last summer by NicD in 107F ambient. Sorry about the sloppy graph... I had a bad tire I think. My daily driver doesn't nearly stack up to power number normally discussed here but I know there are a few pros that hang out here that can hook me up. I'm looking for a bit more power and perhaps a more gradual torque increase. Orginally I speced my 60-1 to give me gobs of torque down low not caring about loss on the top end... as I was out of fuel anyway after 5k RPM. I am upgrading fuel and looking for about 500-550rwhp at or below 10PSI. I have been thinking about something like a Turbonetics T66 with an F1 Trim and a .81 A/R housing. What do you guys think?

Thanks

Bill

Well if it was me, the first thibg I would do after you get your fuel system up to the task is build yourself a forged bottom end. I would think you are really pushing the hp on a stock 5.3. It won't last for long.IMOA.

I do have an LS6... plan is to gets some rods and pistons for it. Haven't decided if I want to stroke it. I also have a 4L80E (with a Vig 3200) waiting to go in. parish has a stock 5.3 with an LS6 cam and a MPT70(?) pushing 600rwhp in his Fairmont project and from what I hear its holding up well. I don't plan on running anymore than 10psi. Timing will be kept low... right now I'm only at 14 degrees. I figure the 5.3 can last a good while as long as I keep the KR out of it.

yeah that 5.3 will take plenty of power. There are quite a few guys doing over 500whp with stock bottom ends, just make sure you have some methanol on there. Unless you are getting a really good deal on that turbo, i would just get a 70mm Q-trim, or GTQ. they are normally very cheap and will easily take what you want to do, even with more cubes in the LS6. I am not familiar with the F1 wheel though so i do not know how it compares
