Where Next? Hi
I have 2006 VZ Monaro (5.7 ETC throttle) fitted with a IC 9psi Magnacharger and Wortec exhaust. It currently produces 470rwhp and I'm trying to work out what to do next. Apart from the blower the engine is standard so I'm wondering do simply raise boost to 12psi or do I look at polished heads/cams?
My tuner, who I trust, tells me there is a risk of engine failure if I boost to 12psi and recommends new pistons and rods first. However, I don't want to pay for this if there are greater gains to be made elsewhere.
Any advice is much appreciated.
