Default Finally got my dart cnc pro 1 heads

i was going back and forth about what heads to get for my turbo 370 engine. My engine builder told me to get the dart cnc. I looked at the specs and was impressed. they flow 322 @ .600 lift intake and 240 @ .600 exhaust . comb chambers 68cc, intake port volume is 250cc, 2.08 intake valve and 1.600 exhaust. i was gonna go with the comp pro adjustable rockers but im think im gonna set a pair of shaft mount rockers on these puppies

I just got home, well went to get my heads from my friends and i checked em out. Very nice piece. they are not 1/2 in thick. I couldnt get a accurate measurement but it was over half so i called dart and they said the thickness is 550. Now fo rthe fi guys whos running like 25+ pounds of boost. what seat preassure are you running. the heads i have the dual springs are set at 140@ 1.800. would that be enough cause i was told that is not enough seat pressure for my valves.

Hunter was runnin the 225's, not the Pro CNC version. I do believe he picked up quite a bit of power, but it's an apples to oranges comparison.

you know i would go months trying to make a decision on heads so i just had to go and pick one. I talked to finish line performance a they said the darts will work. They are using them on there car they said. I really wanted the ET performance. but my pistons are custom for 15* heads. but tell me this my spring pressure is at 140 i know its not enough so me trying to hit 1k at the rear wheels with a hydrolic roller 370 ci and like a 94 mm turbo what should my sear pressure be at. I dont wanna float a valve

Bumping....
my older dart pro 1 heads, 238cc intake runner,( 23 deg style), i put 2.125 intake and 1.6 ex sizes in, .100 " longer., set up to 2.05 installed hieght
machined then spring set a tad deeper and wider, and put 1.6 dia PSI springs in, set up at 325 lb seat pressure.
i run up to 40 psi boost, in 358 cube sbc, custom roller, .650 ish lift., jesel shaft rockers , and they live for years.
check them twice a year, and they never move, adjust them once, and adjust them hot, BUT ALL WAYS let the engine warm up before you trash the big girl engine.

good springs put in once, and they will live if the lift and rpm stay resonable ( less tham 8500 ish rpm)

cheers
ash
