isky makes some nice springs also

watch the OD of the spring, I'm not sure those cranes will fit without machining. I see the max OD as 1.30

oops LT not LS

in that case 1.25 is the stock diameter and 1.75 is usually the installed height.

some OE heads dont like to be cut to 1.5 in the spring cups at the stock depth. it usually hits water
our machine shop usually sticks a .060 shim in the pocket and cuts to that depth. then a .030 shim beneath the spring on aluminum heads. this sometimes requires getting longer valves to make up the installed height.

you can find stock diameter springs that work, they just get tired quicker.

On my old LT1,then transfered to my LT4, I used the Combination Motorsports single spring kit, real nice affordable springs, flawless for me for over 10,000 hard miles and 7200+ rpm. I still have them in a box, couldn't bring myself to throwing them out.

what is an ideal spring that wont need machining and stand up to a decent cam and boost? with stock height valves that is.

Well, this was a few years ago. They are still around, different company name, and I didn't see the springs on their site. I will try to give them a call later on.
