Default wastegate questions

What are the advantages of a 44mm wastegate over a 38mm?I'm thinking of doing a big single 370ci combo. The 38mm is obviously cheaper ,but would it work with a t76 or bigger turbo?

the lower the boost the larger the wastegate because you will need to bleed off more exhaust gasses

Not enough wastegate will cause boost creep also.

A name brand 44mm will work well for a 76. I run a 60mm with my 88. If you try to run low boost (10 psi or less) you will want select a well matched W/G to avoid the previously mentioned boost creep. Don't skimp on the W/G!
