Default MAF and turbo kits

What are the advantages/disadvantages of running a MAF with a turbo. I have noticed that some kits retain the use of the MAF, while others do not. Why is this?

Thanks!

BTW, go 2 or 3bar SD depending on the boost. Car will be much smoother and behave nicely especially in "part boost" conditions.
