Default ignition cut out...on turbo car?

Any try or heard of a ignition cut out switch, mounted on the clutch pedal to briefly kill the motor for faster and safer shifts?

They do it on bikes for use with air shifters? I cant see any reason or benefit to do it.

Air shifters/sequential/dog boxes...it is common to kill the ignition for the duration of the shift.

But for an auto it would be pointless, and for a conventional manual synchro car...again a total cut perhaps isnt the best way forward.

Some form of low rpm limit ( basically a 2-step as you guys call it ), invoked when the clutch pedal is enganged would be best.

Obviously wiring in a total cut would be extremely easy, and almost free. Just kill the power feed to the coils. Although doing so could also throw fault codes ??
