SC gearing compared to Turbo gearing
I swapped my 4.10's for 3.42's when I went with the turbo to increase the load. I would think since SC needs RPM's to boost it would be beneficial to swap back? yes? Thanks....

You are correct. What gear you choose is going to depend on how much horsepower you are producing, so that you right where you want to be rpm wise when going through the traps. Bob

Right now I have 4.10s, but when the d1sc goes on I was thinking of going to 3.73s or 3.54s (dana 60)....would it make sense to do that so it stays in the powerband longer? I dont wanna be going through the gears so quick and having to shift all the time if there is no benefit. I'd rather have a car that's a highway monster.

I think the 4:10's are going to be a little to low. With a 26" tall tire and a 6800 rpm redline you would be maxing 4th gear out at 128 mph. 28" tall tire would give you another 10mph which might not be that far off.
If you already have the 3:42's in the car I would get a 26" tall tire and try them out. That would put you at 154mph at 6800 rpm.
That might be a little overkill but from speaking with you I expect the car to make big power with that D1SC maxed out. I'm running 3.73's with a 28" tall tire which is real close to 3.42's with a 26" tall tire. "152 mph @ 6800 VS 154 mph"

Converter on auto cars needs to be taken into consideration also. Switching to a numerically lower gear on a car with an already questionably loose converter can have you blowing through it after the gear swap.
