Default dont call me stupid but

for the longest time ive wanted to do a turbo setup but now ive been looking into doing an electric charger setup to where i could have a variable resister switch on it to control boost, i think that would be the cheapest, and least hp consuming way, cause i could get true duels, and there would be know parisitic hp loss, plus inst that the same princaple behind ele. water pumps???
what do yall think???

In a word.........NOOOOOOO........they don't work, at best (read about a test done once) you might, MIGHT get 1-2 pounds of boost which wont do a dam thing for you. There are plenty of used supercharger/turbo kits if your trying to save some cash but in teh end FI really isnt cheap. All the extras that you will need will add up quick. If you have your heart set on the electric S/C and have the money to play with sure why not, but my guess is you'll regret it later

It will not make any boost, it's a scam. You will lose power because making the motor breathe through a straw.

Big waste of money.

Save your cash until you can comfortably afford to go FI. It is not cheap.
Even if you score a turbo or supercharger on the cheap, there are numerous other
mods like an upgraded fuel pump, injectors, tune, etc that add up fast.
If I did not have the a majority of the fab skills and tools to build my own DIY system
there is no way in hell that I would be able to justify the costs of this hobby.

I would suggest that you determine the goals of your project and establish a well thought out plan on how to get there by studying similar builds on this site.
Many of us have learned the hard way that HP is addictive, and that it ALWAYS costs more to build, dismantle, rebuild BIGGER, etc. than it does to build exactly what you wanted in the first place.
Ask questions, get some $$ saved up, then go for it!

Dude just because you put 2 of them on there does not mean you will get 16lbs of boost. Do like every one on here says just save your money its a waste of time.

8psi on what, a 1.0L four banger?

Seriously, if these things were capable of big psi AND CFM everyone would be using these electric leafblowers...

I agree; they're awesome. Screw belt driven blowers and turbos. Leaf blowers are where it's at.

Just remember to get the optional solar cell upgrade so you don't have to use a better alternator.

Did you see they have a upgraded unit that clamps inside your exhaust tip, and they whistle like a turbo? this way you still gain the hp, but dont have the extra electrical draw. Should be good for a couple of tenths.
