Default weight of turbo system?

well just for the sake of comparison, whats the usual weight of low-mount turbo systems?

You can expect to add any where from 80- 150 pounds extra weight.

its about double that when you consider the 6 point or cage you ll need to actually get any passes down the track....

really depends on turbo. big turbo 50 pounds. tc76 is like 20 i think. With a tc76 i think you can come in under 80.

Plus most people pull front bumper support for IC, which saves some weight.

is this safe?removing bumper suport.
im addin the hp performance kit to my z28 only the 60mm kitt cause completly stock engine. sorry for robbin thread parts are lagging too

I really hope its on the low-end, because 80 sounds reasonable especialy with my baby turbonetics twins. I will put the kit on a scale and weight it before it goes on the car.

Sure its safe...

Just dont get into a front end accident. Most cars on this site(not all, but alot) that have a fmic have taking the front bumper support out.

We have a front bumper support that will clear a FMIC. It is not NTSB approved but will add support and is built to NHRA specs.

Tell you what take the tags of the kit boxes which will add up to 135lbs and subtract the weigh of the parts you're removing and that would give you the exact weight of the kit How's the install going!
