Twin turbo Chevelle
Hit the track Saturday and ran 11.033, 11.021 and 11.017. MPH was 124.50-125.55. This was not the first outing with the car but actually the second. First trip netted an 11.48 at 119 on street tires at 8psi.This time out was on MT DR's with 10.3psi. If I could have gotten the 60's down a little more I would have had a 10 second time slip in hand. 60's were in the 1.75-1.78 range. They would have been lower if I could have launched with some more boost. I could only get the brakes to hold about 2psi before the car started to push. I know its not the fastest thing on the board but its a start. With some cooler weather and a little lower 60' I am sure it has a 10.90 or better in it. These runs were all on 93 with a splash of 100 on top. Thanks to the guys at Speed inc and FLT for your help with the project. Thanks for the invite last weekend Larry! A very special thanks to my buddy Jim Norman, CamaroLS1, for all of the help with the car. I couldnt have done it without your help man! Now its onto your ride!

Thanks for all the comments guys! Right now traction is not the issue but getting the damn brakes to hold is. If the brakes would hold and I could get a 4-6 psi launch out of this thing I would be in the 10's without doing anything else to it. Time to talk to some of the brake pad companies. I may try to find some pads that have a better cold bite to them then the pads I already have. There is also a kit for the rears to go from an 10" to an 11" inch drum. There is also the option of rear discs.
