Fmic overkill?
I was looking at buying the EPP front mount ic kit with the race procharger bypass valve, do you guys think that its overkill for a stock bottom end ls1 with a d1sc and only 7lbs? You think I would see lower intake air temps or is it just going to be for the looks?

No such thing as fmic overkill, low IAT's are your friend.
Cooler IAT's from a big fmic will help keep the engine out of harmful detonation presuming you have a safe tune.
The big fmic will also allow you to bump the HP later on without having to upgrade the cold side of the system.

I do have a very safe tune on the car and meth injection, and I have the twin 4.5in coolers that came in the d1 kit, I was just thinking of switching over to the fmic because they look way better and was wondering if Id see any iat drops with it over the twins. Or if its just plain overkill for my setup.

I have a big front mount and meth injection. And I will say this in the morning my temps at crusing is around 60 on a 75 degree morning and add meth in the mix its around 50-55 degrees through the hole pull. Its a huge gain meth and fmic yeah its really not needed but hell it works.
