Default overheating with a procharger

it seems like a lot of people with prochargers are having overheating issues... im in vegas where summers range from 90-115... its been around 90 degrees out and ive been overheating with the heat on! just cruising around the coolest my car runs is 210 with heater on... so i was thinking of using bobs 9" spal fan, im confused on the thermostat some claim they dont do **** some live by them and im trying to get by with the stock radiator... i dont think my waterpump or radiator are bad i have no leaks and the car has 20k miles on it... what are some suggestions.... experiences... ive talked to epp already just seeing what peoples experiences are with this reoccuring problem before i spend cash im currently running the ati fan tuned to come on at 160' fmic d1sc heads cam etc....ss hood(might help a little)

I'm running a 160 stat and this summer in the 90deg weather the hottest I would see was 215/220deg. That was after 4/5 hard WOT runs. After a few mins of taking it easy tems will drop to 185/190. I dont have any of the A/C left in my car so I have a little better air flow to the radaitor. This winter I'm going add a little 6'' fan in the empty space in the ati radaitor shroud.
I live in park city utah and there are no tuners in the area so I'm going to trailer it to vegas in nov after I get my dual fuel pumps in. Any recomendations of a good shop.

If your on the stock thermostat and stock fan tune the fan won't come on until 226* anyway.

210* is far from overheating.

I fixed my problem going to e85. More power and burns cooler, but alot of people don't have it in their area yet.

An idea is have seen a high volume ls1 water pump on ebay for like 150 bucks or so and edelbrock makes a high volume pump as well. Then there are the upgrade radiator options like ron davis, etc. Not sure if some of them have fitment issues though.
Radiator and better water pump, 160 stat, programming the fans to come on sooner, redline water wetter...these are all good strategies to cars that run too hot.

The Ron Davis and Be Cool radiators fit very well. The pictures here are of a Be Cool radiator installed with a D-1SC. Bob

My car runs 217-222 on a 90 degree day with the 9" auxillary fan set to come on at 165 and 175 with a 160 stat. I got 4000 miles on my car so I know the radiator and W.P. are O.K.

I kept the A/C, but there is no way to use it with the existing conditions. I hits 235 with it on in no time flat and will climb further.

Truthfully, it sucks. I think more people than not have the problem from what I read. Although it is to be expecteed when you look at the fan set-up the ATI stuff includes vs. factory

Looks like a radiator and possibly an electric W.P. are in my future.

Bob, which radiator would you go with the Ron Davis or Be Cool, I have a Ron Davis in my deuce and like it, nice quality but isn't the F-Body one like 800 or so

Yes, the Ron Davis is pricey but they are at the top of their game. Either brand should do though. Another option is to move the bottom of the radiator support ahead an inch or so, so that the stock fans can be used. Bob

There still is room for the condensor ahead of the radiator. Bob
