Default fuel leval sender question

i have a 95 camaro that i am swapping to ls1
i am going to be swapping all of the harnesses and dash from a 2000 but i am going to be using an aeromotive pump so i want to use the metal tank from the 95 so i can put a sump in it.
well here is my question, will the leval sender from the 95 tank send the same signal as the 2000 so the guage in the 2000 cluster will work?

or did any f-body ls1 car come with a metal tank?

The sending unit from the 95 will not work with the 2000 cluster. Also, the 2000 cluster will not fit int he 95 dash unless you are planning on swaping out the entire dash and repinning the cluster plug. If you are swaping the dash, I would use a cluster from a 97, it will work with the 95 sending unit, and with a 98 temp sending unit will work with the engine too.
