Default Fuel PSI

Going to monitor my fuel psi for a couple days of mixed driving and see if I get any fluctuations in my psi. My pump whines, but the car pulls hard and idles well, so I think the only way to tell for sure if I have a pump issue is to monitor the psi's... So... what should I see at:

Idle?

Part Throttle?

WOT?

Thanks!

The factory pressure specification is 58 psi, so you should see close to this all of the time. Monitor and report back. If you can, don't use a dampened gauge assembly. You want to see the fluctuations.

Ok I monitored it through all kinds of driving...

58-59psi Idle...

Light throttle= 58

1/2 Throttle= Maybe down to 56-57

WOT= 55-56 (definately no lower than that)

There were never any random drops or fluctuations at any time or rpm...

Like I say, car runs great, no problems.. just a noisy pump... should I ride it out since the psi's all look good?

So if it was your car would you chalk up the small pump noise to just a noisy pump? Or would you change it out? I tend to be a bit of an alarmist I guess, but I'll be pissed at myself if I get stranded in a couple weeks...but I havent decided on a pump set-up yet and I dont want to throw money where I dont need it yet...

I guess it depends on the circumstances. If you don't feel comfortable, change it. While your at it, get an upgraded pump form Lonnies Performance.
