Default v6 trap door

i've done a few fuel pump trap doors on different LS1 cars. the question that i have is if the V6 cars fuel tanks are the same as the V8 cars. a buddy wants me to help him with a trap door on his V6 and i need to know if the hole is in the same place...

thanks

mac

if its a 98+ V6, should be same as an LS1. My Chilton's doesn't differentiate between V8 and V6. Only differences are between 98+ and 97 and earlier. If its earlier than 1998, it MIGHT be a little different than 98+. After looking some more, the only difference really between 98+ and 97 earlier is the gasket / module on top of the tank where the pump assembly goes in.

Looking on AAP's online site, the part numbers for the pumps are the same but the harnesses are different (obviously with the different engines.) So it should be pretty much the same, just be careful when you cut, as usual.
