Default 98 v6 to ls1 swap, pump question

i've yet to fire my car up, but quick rundown, its a 98 v6 car with an ls1 swapped in and a billet fuel rail with regulator (so I could use stock lines) set at 40psi. Car has the stock v6 pump still in it. Does anyone actually know if the v6 pump can keep up? I've tried searching but no luck. If the v6 pump basically flows the same as an ls1 pump i'm sure it will be fine, but in my head it seems like id need to turn the pressure up closer to 50psi to keep up the volume.
any help greatly appreciated guys!

ls1 is 58 psi and has a higher flow rate. look up the pumps on here and you can see the data:

I swapped out my 98 v6 for a 98 LS1, you need the 98 LS1 sending unit assembly.
I also changed out my line set from the v6 to the 98 ls1 set as well.
mine runs perfect with no codes. PM me if you have any swap questions.

Ive heard from a few people that running a v6 pump is possible and some have done it without any issues. I have a quick question though... The ls1 uses a pressure regulator in the tank so how is this corrected when swapping in one into a v6 car?
