Default fuel pump?

I have a 98 camaro that I bought in 03. The fuel pump had been replaced before I bought the car. I don't know if it has an aftermarket fuel pump in it or not. Is there any way to tell by using hp tuners or anything else? I'm fixing to go with bigger injectors and I have a wet nitrous kit. I want to be sure not to run out of fuel when racing. Thanks for any help.

Then make a trap door and pull your sending unit up and check. The only way to check is to do a visual.

if there is already a trap door that would be a good indication as well. Have you tested the system with a wideband on the street, at the track or on the dyno?

There is a trap door that was cut out. I revited a peice of aluminum over it a few years back. I can check the pressure at the fuel rail tommorrow if that will help.

No. Fuel pressure is set by the regulator. The pump only supplies volume.
Having a trap door only tells you that it has been accessed, nothing more. There are two ways to access, dropping the tank and cutting the door. Since you have the door, open/remove the door and pull the pump assembly out. Takes about 15 minutes to remove, a bit more to reinstall. Be sure and do it in a well ventilated area, since your fuel will be exposed to the atmosphere.
