Fuel Filter for external in-line Bosch 44?
Using a Bosch 44 as an external, in-line fuel pump. I'm needing a pre-filter for the pump.
I don't want something that's going to inhibit flow to the pump on the inlet side, but I don't want to leave it bare and unprotected.
I was looking at those Summitt/Russell etc canister filters that have -6AN male fittings on the end for ease of installation.

It says it's for carb'd applications, but since it's on the input side I don't see why it wouldn't work. But I'm afraid to choke the pump.....
Any suggestions?

Do not use a standard filter as a pre-filter; you need a larger micron element to prevent restriction before the pump (and a tighter conventional filter after the pump). You can get properly sized pre & post pump filters from Weldon, MagnaFuel or Race Part Solutions.
