Default Fuel system confusion

I'm doing an ls swap in my 92 mustang. I have the corvette fuel filter already and all the lines are plumbed. But, i was just wondering. Dont the stock ls1 returnless fuel rails have a regulator built into them?

Yes they do, it the the big bulge on the driver side fuel rail, it has a snap ring and a filter in there with the spring.

NO they do not the Corvette filter/regulator has one built in. The factory rails do NOT. GM calls it a pulse dampener whatever that means...even they realized they don't need it and removed it in later vehicles.

I agree, pulse dampner. That is not a regulator.
